Some things about me
· I’ve been teaching music lessons since 2001, and I love my students!
· I sing and play piano, guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, and banjo. I’m learning to play the mandolin that my father built for me. Sometimes I teach myself parts accordion, mandolin, glockenspiel and all kinds of percussion instruments.
· I’m the Artistic and Executive Director of Resonate Choral Arts, a women’s choir in Portland. We embrace lifelong learning, collaboration, and connection through music. More info about this at: ResonatePDX.org.
· I am a singer/songwriter/sound engineer, and I’ve been recording and releasing music as Kristin Gordon. I love working with lots of vocal harmonies and instrumental textures. Check out my music on all streaming platforms and at KristinGordon.com.
· I’ve directed choirs, bands and other musical ensembles for years – notably as the Music Director at MCC Portland (2007-2016) and Niwot UMC (2001-2005). I’ve also done a ton of arranging and composition work for these groups.
· I’m a certified music technician by the Oregon Music Technology School – and I enjoy working with digital audio projects.
· I graduated from Gonzaga University in 2001 with a BA in Music: Vocal Performance and Composition.
· Here are a few things I’m proud of:
